Cronin Bath Remodel
East Valley Phoenix, Arizona
This small, 45 sf, bathroom received a redesign in the Phoenix-metro area. Simplifying the existing bathroom we created something attractive and zen-like.
Completed photos show the beauty of the full bathroom remodel. Porcelain floor-to-ceiling wall tiles create an ambience that is detailed and orderly. The darker green-grey tiles have a satin type finish that really sings with white grout—especially, with stacked joints. Stacked joints are a clean, simple and elegant tile shower pattern.
The vanity, shelves and towel rack are custom made by Trevor
Pan. Plyboo® Bamboo "Chocolate" plywood was chosed to complement the tile. The vanity was designed to fit the Ronbow® self rimming ceramic sinktop (Larisa 24"). Because the vanity and mirror pop-out are tall the Aplos single lever faucet was chosen by Kraus®.
Both the tile subcontractor and general contractor were quite experienced. They both underestimated the design. Mrs. Cronin noted of the general contractor, "Norm was totally blown away as he had not been around until yesterday."
"The bathroom has such an emotional quality to it," Mrs. Cronin's neighbor said. She stopped by to visit and didn't come out of the bathroom for a half hour.
Budget for demolition and construction: $14,800
